As God has forgiven us, we are to forgive each other. In the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, Jesus teaches that forgiveness should be in like proportion to the amount forgiven. When someone offends us, we should be willing to forgive him or her from a heart of gratitude for the forgiveness we have received from God.
